Get To Know Me

Why should someone choose you to care for their health?
I strive to provide a comfortable environment for my patients and get to know their concerns to create a relationship built on collaboration and trust.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
My patients should expect honesty, respect, compassion, and diligence from me. In exchange, I also expect honesty from them as well as a willingness to commit to the plans we put in place to improve their health and wellbeing.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?
When not caring for patients, I love to travel and connect with friends. I also enjoy concerts and attending shows or plays. In addition, I prioritize moving my body either through dancing, hiking with my dog, swimming, or any other form of movement.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I started my nursing career at a stroke rehabilitation and was inspired by the way prompt and appropriate treatment can make drastic improvements in a patient's life and their ability to take care of themselves. I then transitioned to treating patients in the most acute stages of stroke, epilepsy, and other neurological conditions which was life-changing as I had the opportunity to acutely save lives. The greatest reward is making a positive impact on an individual's quality of life.

It was my first time seeing her. However I really felt that she didn't seem to rush. She really took the time to listen and gave feedback as to where I understood what might be causing the symptoms I was experiencing. What really made me feel that she cared was when she stated "don't worry we will get to the bottom of this."
