About Zachary J. Manfredi

Professional Statement

Zach Manfredi is a Family Nurse Practitioner who is board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Zach started in healthcare as an EMT and an emergency room Registered Nurse before becoming a healthcare provider. Zach treats patients of all ages, shapes and sizes. It is Zach's goal to learn what "perfect health" means to each of his patients, and then strive for that specific, and unique, benchmark with each patient separately. Zach's areas of expertise are preventative medicine (including exercise, nutrition, herbal supplements, and holistic medicine), physical assessment and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses.

When Zach is not in the office, you may find him on his motorcycle, or out in the woods, exploring the world.

Get To Know Me

Why should someone choose you to care for their healthcare?
I am a medical provider who understands that every person’s health is not just a sum of their parts. Our health is affected every day, by every interaction, every movement, every breath, and every meal. With this knowledge, it is simple to see that everyone’s health is different and needs to be treated as such. When a diagnosis is made, I realize that the path that was traveled to arrive there was unique for every person, and therefore, their treatment must be equally unique. I believe that good health does not just mean living longer, but instead, means living with energy, with joy, and with an overall zest for life. That is the goal I make for each, and every, patient.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
I believe that patients should expect me to understand the reason they are coming to me for help, through the lens of their perspective, and to help them accordingly. They should expect that I want the absolute best outcome for them and expect me to tell them the right thing to do, regardless of whether it is the thing they want to hear. In turn, what I expect from my patients is for them to follow through with our agreed-upon treatment plans.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?
I enjoy being outside, and almost any activity involved with that. That includes hiking, motorcycle rides, tinkering with the car in the driveway or playing each, and every sport. As for indoor activities, I’m more of a book and movie person instead of TV shows, and I am quite obsessed with music (listening to it/singing with it/playing guitar).

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
My first 14 years of working in healthcare were in emergency medicine. I was always drawn to the fast pace and ability to help those in dire need. Through those years of experience, I learned that many of the ailments that brought people to the emergency department could have been avoided with proper preventative care. The emergency department was good for keeping people from dying and yet was a poor answer for helping people live each day in better health. I was drawn to primary care to help in this way. I believe that mind, body, & spirit are all intertwined. I believe that to fully help a person’s health, you must be able to get to know them and have good follow-up with them, adjusting their treatment regimen as their body adjusts to the treatment itself. There is no better reward than to turn someone off a path of sickness and onto a path of healing.
