About Michael Ayoub, MD, Resident Physician
Professional Statement
Michael Ayoub, MD, is a first-year Family Medicine resident who cares for patients in our primary care location in Kingston and at Northern Dutchess Hospital. He earned his medical degree from St. George’s University. Prior to pursuing medicine, he completed a Master of Pharmacy degree at the University of East Anglia in the United Kingdom and worked at West Suffolk Hospital, where he developed a strong foundation in medication safety and patient education.
His combined training in pharmacy and medicine allows him to take a comprehensive approach to patient care. He values building long-term relationships with individuals and families. He believes that strong, long-term relationships are the foundation of good health.
By caring for patients in both the clinic and hospital setting, he strives to provide continuity of care and support patients through every stage of their health journey. His interests include preventive care, chronic disease management, and ensuring patients fully understand their medications and treatment plans.
Dr.Ayoub speaks English and Arabic and is working on getting a public health degree. Outside of medicine, he enjoys playing soccer.
Get To Know Me
Why should someone choose you to care for their health?
I am committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered, and evidence-based care. I take the time to listen carefully, understand individual concerns, and develop personalized treatment plans. My goal is not only to treat illness but also to promote long-term health and prevention.
What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
Patients should expect honesty, respect, clear communication, and dedication to their well-being. I will always provide transparent information, explain options clearly, and involve patients in shared decision-making.
In return, I expect open communication, honesty about symptoms and concerns, and a willingness to actively participate in their care plan.
How do you spend your valuable personal time when you are not caring for patients?
I value spending time with family and friends, staying physically active, and engaging in activities that help me recharge. I enjoy soccer and tennis.
Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
Family medicine allows me to build meaningful, long-term relationships while addressing a wide range of health concerns. I value the opportunity to care for individuals across different stages of life and to focus on both prevention and treatment.
