Kristin Cantele, DO, Resident Physician

Kristin Cantele, DO, is a dedicated and compassionate family medicine physician who will be completing residency in June 2026. She is a graduate of NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Cantele has a keen interest in obesity medicine and women’s health, as well as a passion for improving the lives of her patients. She has a passion for learning and makes a point of incorporating education into her practice so patients can play an active and informed role in their medical care.

Why should someone choose you to care for their health?
I am a very compassionate person who cares deeply for the wellbeing of my patients. I pride myself in making patients informed decision makers on their care with a focus on preserving quality of life.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
My patients will receive a professional provider in addition to being given timely updates and regular follow-up on their care. In exchange, I expect patients to have the same level of respect towards me and my staff.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you are not caring for patients?
When I am not with patients, I am enjoying spending time with friends and family. I try to remain physically active, whether that be through outdoor activities or through my lifelong love of dance.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
While I was in medical school, I loved all my rotations and enjoyed being able to establish relationships with patients. Being able to follow a patient's course of care and being able to make a positive difference in their lives is my greatest reward.
