Melanie J. McKeever, PA

Melanie McKeever, PA has a master's in exercise science from Southern CT State University and an MS/PA degree from Yale. She has worked in GI for almost 20 years and still looks forward to working every day. Melanie is originally from Iowa and has been living in CT for the past 30 years. She has 4 children, 2 dogs and 2 cats.

Why should someone choose you to care for their health?
I have many years of experience with both the inpatient and outpatient population and encourage a team approach to care.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
My patients may expect me to listen to their concerns, and give my best efforts to address them with a team approach. I expect patients to be compliant and active in their care.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?
I like to run, weight train, read and foster cats and dogs.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I enjoy the scope of a GI practice as it encompasses a variety of health concerns. It is very rewarding to assist patients in recovery, treatment, and the improvement in their lives as a result.
