Vanessa L. Tyrrell, APRN

Vanessa Tyrrell is an APRN certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She graduated from Western Connecticut State University with her master's degree in nursing. Vanessa holds a passion for helping others achieve their personal healthcare goals. She believes in the importance of being a patient advocate, and listener and bringing a holistic health approach to her care.

Why should someone choose you to care for their health?
I have an excellent bedside manner and authentically listen to each of my patients.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
Good communication, kindness and respect are essential to any successful relationship, this includes the patient/provider relationship.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?
Outside of work I enjoy being active, spending time with my loved ones, and eating good food.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
Gastrointestinal has an excellent, welcoming staff with whom I did clinical rotations as an APRN student. I immediately felt at home with this practice and have a great interest in digestive system disorders and contributing to the overall health and well-being of patients.
